No, you do not need a referral to see a privately practising midwife. You are welcome to contact us directly at any stage of your pregnancy.
If at any point specialist review or shared care is recommended, we will coordinate this with your GP, obstetrician or local maternity service to ensure your care remains safe, supported and seamless.
You are always at the centre of your care.

You are welcome to book as soon as you discover you are pregnant. Many families reach out in the early weeks, as continuity-of-care places are limited and tend to fill quickly.
As privately practising midwives, we can organise your blood tests, ultrasounds and ongoing pregnancy care from the beginning. We coordinate everything you need throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period, ensuring your care is seamless and well supported.
If you are further along in pregnancy, please still get in touch. When space allows, we are sometimes able to welcome women later in pregnancy, or we can help guide you to another trusted midwife within our wider community.
